| Abstrakt | The article discusses one work by Maciej Kazimierz Sarbiewski (1595–1640), the Ode I 19, showing imitational and emulative characteristic for Sarbiewski’s poetics. The author made reference to Horace’s works I 19, II 20, and IV 1, disputing and competing with the Classic. Furthermore, the article emphasises the rhetoric dimension of the Ode and its connections to Platonism. |
